A tasty classic
I do not know about you, but when I see the first flakes, it makes me want to prepare a good hot chocolate!
It seems very simple, but as for the spaghetti sauce, each has its own recipe or its own technique. Some prefer it bitter, sweet, thick or liquid, and others prefer it buried under a mountain of marshmallows or just plain nature.
All of this is a matter of taste. But in any case, the important thing is to choose a quality chocolate. For the recipe, I chose to share with you the one of Ricardo, accompanied by marshmallows houses! It's a feast for the whole family.
1 liter (4 cups) milk
5 ml (1 teaspoon) vanilla essence
180 g (6 oz) good semi-sweet or milk chocolate
Canola or corn oil
375 ml (1 1/2 cups) sugar
75 ml (1/3 cup) hot water
5 ml. (1 teaspoon) vanilla essence
25 ml (5 teaspoons) neutral gelatin 1
25 ml (1/2 cup) cold water
45 ml (3 tablespoons) icing sugar
15 ml (1 tablespoon) cornstarch
In a saucepan, heat the milk and vanilla essence. Add chocolate, stir to melt, whisk before serving.
Line a 33 x 23 cm (13 "x 9") mold with plastic wrap and oil well with your hands. It is important to completely oil the mold.
In a bowl, mix the sugar and the water. Add the vanilla essence.
In another bowl, swell the gelatin in cold water for 2 to 3 minutes, then dissolve completely in the microwave or water bath. Add it to the sugar mixture.
Beat with electric mixer about 10 minutes or until the mixture has the texture of a soft meringue. Spread in the pan and let stand overnight.
Cut the marshmallow into cubes and roll in the icing sugar and cornstarch mixture.
